Perennial grass between 20 and 30 cm high, with light green foliage and characteristic citrus smell. The fine stems are quadrangular and hairy, in which the leaves are arranged in opposite pairs, which in turn are characterized by being ovate and having the crenate edge.

It brings a delicious flavor to the vinegar of herbs, sauces, salads, marinated, stuffed, fish, soups, vegetables and dishes of house.

In desserts aromatizes with its touch of lemon in fruit salads, ice cream, custard infusions.
