Perennial, woody plant that every year renews the herbaceous shoots that can reach 40 centimeters in height. The leaves, elongated and thin, are distributed opposite on the stem. The blue flowers that are arranged at the tip of the stem are very aromatic and provide a characteristic smell. Its cultivation is quite easy and can be done both by means of seeds and cuttings, the latter being the most recommended, because this way we make sure that the new plant has exactly the same smell as the original plant.

With its outstanding delicate and delicious aroma it can give a special touch to its culinary preparations, it goes very well with white meat fish, with salad sauces and sweet preparations. In infusions it has a pleasant relaxing effect.
